Treasury Statement indicates that OIRSA is operating in the Black

State Race 2008 Recap given my Manlik Kwong and available in State Race Binder. State race binders, info and banners handed off to Metro League.

Appointment of Jack Walker to serve as Assistant Director to the end of vacated term


Rule book changes

Director will create a white paper that better defines the relationship between OSAA and OISRA Participation Seasons and how they are all related to Rule 8.

Discussion regarding elimination of Substitutes at the State Race unless the Substitute was inserted for an injured, sick racer. Moulton made a motion to eliminate substitutes but there was no second. Motion Failed

Discussion regarding the addition of a “snowday” to the State Race schedule. It was decided that the decision to include a “snowday” would be left to the League Race Committee.

Walker made a motion to have a “no binding release” rule in GS at the State Race. After discussion, there was no second. Motion Failed.


Alpine Policy changes

An inconsistency was discovered in the Policies regarding Course Setter requirement to set at State. (See discussion below.)

A motion was presented by Gary King to require a minimum of 2 Qualified Race Course Maintenance Workers per League, in addition to the current Gate Keeper requirement. Seconded by Walker, approved unanimously.


State Race 2010 overview was presented by Metro League President Fred Payne.

State Race Quota was discussed and the following changes were approved:

League size State Qualifying teams:

1-2 1

3-4 2

5-6 3

7-8 4

9+ 5

Individuals:

League Size State qualifying individuals:

1.4 2 individuals each discipline.

5-6 3

7-8 4

9+ 5


The steering committee has the discretion to adjust numbers appropriately.

There was discussion on the operating of the web site and the Executive Director will confer with the web master and present a report.

There was a discussion on the sponsorship – sportsman project of Henry Bendinelli, and Randy Hewitt volunteered to Liaise with Henry.

The OISRA Alpine Fee was set at $10. motion by Moulton, Second by King. Unanimous.

Sellens presented information regarding future need to deal with concussions. To be continued.

Moulton discussed longevity and the need to get more able bodies trained for future state level involvement.

The need to continue Official Clinics was discussed, and it was decided that we would continue Officials clinics/training.

There was also discussion about coaches clinics and the need to have qualified coaches for course setters at the state race. King made a motion that all future course setters (starting in 2010) have either an OISRA coaches clinic or Level 200 USSA coaches certification prior to nomination for Course Setting for State. Walker seconded and the motion passed with Beck’s voting against.

Williver and Tollefson will work together to create an OISRA Coaches Clinic
