HELMETS:

Reminder to coaches, TD's, parents and racers. Only helmets that comply with the current FIS specifications are allowed to be worn in OISRA sanctioned events. Refer to the italicized sentence as copied from the current Alpine race rules Section II A. 6.

6. (Helmets) In an effort to reduce the possibility of head injury the OISRA requires the wearing of ski helmets by contestants and fore runners in all alpine events. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that his/her helmet is in a safe and undamaged condition and fits properly, and complies with FIS 6. which reads in part : Only helmets are permitted whose shell and padding cover the head and ears.
